We are currently in Los Angeles, eating burgers and doing shows, its all good!
The springtime is right around the corner, and before you know it, it's summer againg, and summer means festivals.
For the first time ever we will do our own shows at amusement parks Gröna Lund in Stockholm and Liseberg in Gothenburg.
We will only do one festival in Sweden this summer, Hultsfred.

We feel that we have some unfinished business in Sweden and therefore we will be doing some additional shows. One of which will be at our all time favorite venue "Mejeriet" in Lund. 31 January 2011 First Aid Kit covering our song. Great Tour.
Our super gifted fellow Swedes in First Aid Kit surprised us big time when they announced that they have done a cover of our song "Whats The Point". This is a true honour for us and we love their version of the song. Check it out HERE

What a great two weekends we've had lately, first we won the Swedish Grammy for "Best Group", and then we won the very prestigous P3 Guld Awards, also for "Best Group".
To all Swedes who voted for us, thank you so much, your love and support means everything!!
After a little break from touring we are now back on the road again, it feels great. So far most almost every show in Germany and Switzerland has been sold out!
More tour dates will be announced every now and then, so stay tuned and take care.

It wasn't long ago that we finished a 3 week tour in Germany, Switzerland and Austria! The tour was amazing except from the fact that we had to cancel two shows.
As we promised to our fans in Munich and Nurnberg, we would make it up to you by coming back as soon as possible.
Well, as soon as possible has turned out to be late January/early February 2011. And since we're on the road anyway, we figured, why not throw in a couple of more shows, so we did!

Since Motoboy is sick, we now have a new support act for Osnabruck, Cologne, Karlsruhe, Munich and Nurnberg.
It's Carl Noren,.
Carl is taking a break from his band Sugarplum Fairy and is currently working on his solorecord. We are happy that he wanted to join us on such a short notice!
Motoboy will join the tour again in Vienna.

29 September 2010 Moto Boy Cancelled
Unfortunatly Moto Boy couldnt stand the heavy pressure of touring with Johnossi, he got sick and had to go home to his mother for a couple of days.
He will rejoin the tour in Vienna. So right now, there is no supportact in Osnabruck, Cologne, Karlsruhe, Munich and Nurnberg, but we're working on it!
The tour has been amazing so far, and more amazing it will be!!

24 September 2010 European tour starting and introducing Johnossi comics
And only a few tickets left in many of the other cities. So get them! We bring Swedish artist Moto Boy with us as support act - come early as he surely is amazing.
Our tour in Sweden kicks off on October 14th in Uppsala - which is already sold out (we are looking into find an extra date) - and continues every weekend until Christmas!
We have also recently launched Johnossi Comics - a collaboration with Kim W Andersson who made all the artwork for "Mavericks" and his fellow cartoon artist colleague Fabian Göransson.
They have created cartoon stories inspired by our music. You can follow the first story "Mavericks" on our website www.johnossi.com. There is also a competition where you can be drawn
into the comic book - and if you live in Sweden you may get your face drawn cartoon style published on Spotify as we are running a cartoon campaign with them. More news on our website.
Proper Johnossi Comics magazine will be available later this fall.

Hey folks - today sees the launch of Johnossi Comics - a collaboration with cartoon artist Kim W Andersson who made the artwork for Mavericks. Kim and fellow cartoon artist Fabian Göransson have been hard at work putting together stories inspired by music from "Mavericks" and an actual cartoon magazine will be out in November. If you live in Sweden and use Spotify, starting today you can follow the first cartoon called "Mavericks" , a story about professional surfer Ana Rosario who takes part in the dangerous surfer competition at Mavericks Point outside of San Francisco. Every few days a new episode will come out. The good news is you'll be able to follow the story here on johnossi.com as well! There is also a competition where you can be drawn into the actual cartoon - (competition is now over).

Before we know it, the summer is gone and things go back to normality again.
In our case normality means waking up in a new city every morning (read afternoon), eating meat and potatoes, drinking beer, fooling around, meeting fantastic people like you, and of course playing extraordinary shows at clubs everynight.
I like the four seasons, i'm pretty much longing for cooler days now, im sick of the sun. I love the rain.
Yesterday, i almost swallowed a bumblebee during a performance on swedish television, i wish i had.
My favourite song at the moment is this one.
I eat a lot of fish nowadays.
My favourite nighttime activity is riding a moped in the woods.
I cant stop being fascinated and dig into things that frights me, this usually mess up things for me, but it's always worth it in the long run.
I really love effects.
I don't enjoy writing words, building sentences, i wish i did.
If i could choose between having my singing voice or an opera singing voice, i think i would shift to the operavoice. I bet operastars don't eat meat and potatoes everyday.
I'm gonna pick up skateboarding again.

Hey everybody!
We just came back to Stockholm, we've been in Gothenburg all day, doing interviews and playing an acoustic set and signing records at Bengans recordstore.
The place was pretty much packed, a big thank you to everyone who showed up, it was great meeting you, hope you enjoyed it! Tommorrow we'll visit Bengans in Stockholm, and then we're off to Malmö on friday, Linköping on monday, and Örebro on tuesday.
So Mavericks is finally released this week, and now we're moving on to a new era. An era of sweat, heat, blood and energy, an era of intense liveshows. We are superexcited to hit the road again.
Have you seen the artwork for Mavericks? Isn't it wonderful! The man behind the drawings is the supertalented Kim W Andersson. We are so blessed that he wanted to work with us. Thank you for all you've done Kim!

4 March 2010 Mavericks
Our brand new third album is finally done. We have named it Mavericks.
This time the process of creating this album was really challenging, not because we had a rough time writing songs, but because we felt that we had to dig deep within ourselves in order to find a place where these melodies could grow into songs.
Most of the songs were written during a pretty confusing time last fall 2009. Throughout Sep-Oct we basically lived in our rehearsal studio .We played our instruments until our fingers bleed, constantly struggling to maintain a constant creative energy.
When the first snow hit Stockholm it was time to hit the studio. We felt that we wanted to be in total charge of the recording process, so we decided to produce the record ourselves, which we ended up doing - together with the incredibly talented Lasse Mårten.
Lasse Mårten owns the now legendary Decibel Studios in Stockholm. We'd heard such great things about this guy and his studio. After our first meeting we immediately decided to record the whole album there, with him as a co-producer and engineer.
Said and done, we moved our shit to Decibel and started working. Just the three of us. It was a period of extremely high creative energy. It was fantastic. After two months Mavericks was done.
A maverick is a person who is not afraid to go against the stream, who has the courage to break free from his or her ideas about how things should be, to face the fear and challenge it.
Mavericks is a legendary surf location in Northern California. Here, the water is cold and dark, and giant waves crush against giant rocks. A mavericks is a person who surfs his own wave. Everybody wants to be a maverick, or at least we do.
On April 30th Mavericks will be released in Scandinavia , Germany, Austria and Switzerland for your listening pleasure.

Igår hade vi en grym start på Thåström turnén i Oslo. Nästa vecka startar de svenska gigen och det ser vi verkligen fram emot
Det glädjer oss oerhört mycket att många av er verka digga vår nya singel "What''s The Point"! Vi har aldrig haft en låt på singellistan förr - jäkligt kul att den gick in på 20:e plats.

19 January 2010 What's The Point – New Single and New Tour Dates!
It’s called "What's the point" and is out now on iTunes in Scandinavia, Spotify and physical retailers (in Sweden).
We performed the song live at the P3 Guld Awards in Gothenburg Tuesday evening – check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gn8j4rrr9vA Things are going really well in the studio, the album is starting to take shape and we can honestly say that we’ve never felt this excited about new songs before. Making an album is a different journey every time and this one has been the toughest by far, but in the end probably also the best. The album is being produced by ourselves and Lasse Mårten. Everything is being done at the Decibel studios in Stockholm and we should be set to release the album at the end of April.
We are doing a Scandinavian headline tour in May:

23 December 2009 New album, tour with Thåström
Great news!
It's now official, our third album will be released in april 2010.
We've been working really hard in the studio for the last month, we're really excited to let you hear the music!
To kick of the massive amount of touring we're up for next year, we will join the legendary swedish artist Joakim Thåström for a couple of shows in scandinavia in february 2010.

2 December 2009 Johnossi on P3 Guld!
We will be performing a brand new track from our forthcoming album live at the annual Swedish national radio awards show P3 Guld Galan (The P3 Gold Awards) on Janury 19th next year.
The event is held at Gothenburg’s Scandiavium Arena and is aired live on radio and broadcast on
Swedish national TV later the same day.
Last year we won the category Best Group at the same awards.
We’ve just started working in the studio last week and are chipping away getting an album done for the spring next year. We’re really satisfied with the results so far and hope to get our best album down yet.

8 July 2009 One more Festival, Popaganda!
In 2005, Johnossi played at the small stage at the Popaganda Festival in Stockholm/Sweden, this was one of their first festivals ever.
We are happy to announce that on the 28 Aug, Johnossi will return to Popaganda.

26 June 2009 Goodbye Michael.
The world has lost one of its greatest talents. Michael was beyond everything.
I have a feeling that he just couldnt stand the pressure anymore.
He could have been so much more, he could have done so much more.
Its scary to see how the world takes care of our greatest prodigy. Praise him, raise him to the stars, accuse him, blame him, throw rocks at him for 15 years until he can't take it anymore. I guess now the same journalists who called him wacko jacko for 15 years, will call him a saint.
All you haters and christian fundamentalists out there who's been giving Michael hate for 15 years, are you still waiting for the new messiah??
He might just have been the one, but you blew it!
One thing is for shure, if this world will ever see another great talent like Michael, you will all be dead anyway, so i just hope that your grandgrand children will bring love instead of hate into this world.

24 June 2009 Two "last minute" festivals shows announced!!!
We are happy to announce that tommorrow, Thursday, Johnossi will perform at the Peace and Love Festival i Sweden and on Saturday Johnossi will perform at the St Gallen open air festival in Switzerland.
We know this is very last minute announcements, but hopefully you'll make it to our shows anyway!

Yesterday was my birthday, i hate to celebrate my birthday, i always get depressed, i don't want to become older.
But, this time i actually enjoyed it a bit, mostly because i finally (9th try) managed to get my driving license!

Sadly, due to personal reasons, Johnossi has to cancel the show at the Tivolirock festival. Hopefully they will be there next year instead.

16 April 2009 The very first edition of Execution Song single
Hey!
I just found out that a swedish online recordshop is holding a few copys of Johnossis very first release.
In oct 2004, Johnossi released Execution Song as a single on very small, no longer existing record label "Rekord Musik".
This edition was only released in 200 copys and i think at least a hundred of them were sold personally by me and Ossi when we supported the Soundtrack of our lives in Sweden at that time.
So, it's a very rare piece of Johnossihistory...

We just played our first show in Japan (Osaka) and it went swell!
We are a bit dizzy from the time change, but we feel as that nothing can stop us!. Everybody is taking good care of us and in 15 minutes we´re having dinner with the hives-guys at a classic japanese steakehouse. We´ll keep you posted!

24 March 2009 Hey everybody!
Tomorrow we are off to Örebro (a city in the middle of Sweden) for a show, we have'nt played for a couple of weeks, so we're extra exited!
We noticed that a lot of you ask about why we don't have john/ossi speaks anymore. The reason for this is simply that we didn't like it, instead we're gonna focus on keeping you updated with whats going on in Johnossiworld, here in the news section.
Now, we also have the ability to answer questions from you in the guestbook, we can't answer all questions, but hopefully most of them!
We spend a lot of time in our rehersalspace now, drinking beer, smoking cigarettes, eating food, and of course, writing new songs! It's going pretty well i must say! Hopefully we will start to record later on this year!

My favourite band at the moment is Satyricon, i'm really looking forward to see them live in Stockholm in April!
